About

As someone with a tendency to observe from a distance, my rediscovery of photography revealed a dynamic connection with life itself.

Picking up the camera began a series of explorations. Whether searching for unique angles, overlooked details, or the breathtaking, the act of taking photos ultimately cultivated a mindset of curiosity.

Time and again, I find myself asking the question of “What if?”
- What if I posted daily photos for an entire year?
- What if I connected with a community of passionate photographers?
- What if there’s more to this than capturing the most stunning image?

With no shortage of questions, my hope is to share my observations with those who share a sense of inquisitiveness.

Behind the Name

The moniker FRAMESWITHGEOFF is a literal and metaphorical interpretation of the term frame. It embodies the notion of perspective with varying degrees of complexity.

On one hand, a frame is what photographers often use when referring to a captured image.

The act of framing describes the composition process, a series of decisions on what is included in a scene and how.

This also applies to framing in a broader context, where specific information is provided, leading the recipient to a particular conclusion or action.

Then there are physical frames. Picture frames, window frames, vehicle frames. All of these examples demonstrate how frames provide support or supplement the adjoining objects.

In essence, frames shape how we see and interpret our world—revealing that there's always layers beneath the surface.
